Awana
The heart of Awana is the gospel message -- that Jesus Christ died for our sins
and rose again.  Jesus paid the penalty for our sin when He was crucified on the
cross, shed his blood for us and rose from the dead.

Awana exists to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to
serve him.  Awana also provides a fantastic means for stepping further in
reaching clubbers family members.

All meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. and dismiss at 8:00 p.m. in our gymnasium.

Awana stands for "Approved workmen are not ashamed"

Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be
ashamed,  rightly dividing the word of truth.    2 Timothy 2:15

Awana groups consist of the following;

Cubbies - 3 and 4 years old.                         Sparks - K - 2nd Grade

Truth & Training 3rd - Grade.                                Trek - 7th & 8th Grade

Each club meeting is 1 1/2 hours and consists of;

Opening ceremony -- Opening prayer, Pledge to the American Flag, Awana Flag
and any announcements

Handbook time --  Clubbers meet with their leaders and memorize Bible verses

Council time -- Clubbers are presented with a Bible message and given Book
achievement recognition

Game time -- Games are played in the gymnasium

Closing ceremony -- Announcements and dismissed in prayer

Also monthly we have a Blacklight Puppet Show and recognize each kid who
is celebrating a Birthday that month with a treat bag, presented to them by our
lovable Lamb, Baa-r-bara.

Dedication, love and guidance is important to our Awana program.  We thank the
Lord for all workers and clubbers.  We have many activities throughout the year
that each child gets to enjoy.
