Julie Bowen

Hi, my name is Julie Bowen and I am the speech therapist here at Little Blooms Preschool. I have been serving as speech therapist at Little Blooms Preschool for 2 years, but I have worked in many settings throughout my career: acute care, rehabilitation hospitals, home health, skilled nursing facilities, birth-3, preschools, and elementary, middle, and high schools. 

I became a Christian when I was 8 years old and was blessed with wonderful Christian parents and brothers who always took me to church where we worshipped together. I have been involved in children’s ministries, like Awana, Master Club, and Grow Kids for almost 20 years, directed children’s choirs, and played music in church. I love working with children. 

I’ve been married to my best friend, Nathan, for 24 years and we have an almost 22 year old daughter, Amelia, and a 19 year old daughter, Avery, both of whom I have homeschooled from preschool to high school graduation. It has been quite a journey and I have loved seeing all of their “firsts” and helping them to grow and mature. We’ve been able to learn and grow together in the Lord exponentially throughout this process!

Aside from enjoying my time with my family, I love to travel with my family, garden, can my homegrown food, spend time outdoors (you rarely find me indoors in the summer), spending time with all 11 pets, going out to eat, listening to music, playing the piano and other instruments with my family, and giving piano lessons. 

I have really enjoyed getting to know, and working with the kids at Little Blooms! My life is taking a different turn, and I’m really excited to work here with these kids!
